Abstract
Doctor Pierson, of Lincoln, Nebraska, became the onehundred-and-first president of the Association at the 1964 meeting in San Francisco. This was a joint meeting with the Federation Dentaire Internationale, and its theme was "International Cooperation for Better Dental Health." Doctor Pierson was a private practitioner and a professor of dental medicine at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. He was a member of the House of Delegates from 1930 to 1957 and a member of the Board of Trustees from 1957 to 1963. For many years Doctor Pierson was secretary of the Nebraska Dental Association, which he also served as president. He was president of the American College of Dentists in 1953. He was born in Nebraska in 1896 and died in 1978.
