ADA Archives features items from the Archives of the American Dental Association, the official repository of the organization’s historical records and publications.
The Archives comprises publications and records created and/or distributed by any ADA unit, office, or agency in the conduct of its affairs. These materials are preserved because of the enduring value of the information that they contain as evidence of the functions and responsibilities of the organization. The Archives collection is cataloged and kept separately within the ADA Library arranged by department of origin and with its own call numbering scheme. Records and publications added within the ADA Archive collections are considered historical, i.e. out-of-print and/or no longer used, distributed, or published by the ADA.
