Abstract

Doctor Jeserich, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, became the ninety­sixth president of the Association at the centennial meeting held in New York City in 1959. This was a joint meeting with the Federation Dentaire Internationale. Attendance was a record 35,200. Doctor Jeserich was dean of the University of Michigan Dental School from 1950 to 1962, where he had been a member of the faculty since 1933. He was also the director of the University's W. K. Kellogg Foundation Institute of Graduate and Postgraduate Dentistry. He was serving his second term as a member of the Association's Board of Trustees when he was chosen president-elect. He served on three councils of the Association: Dental Therapeutics, Judicial, and International Relations. Doctor Jeserich was president of the Michigan State Dental Association in 1939-1940. He was born in Illinois in 1893 and died in 1973.
