Abstract
Doctor Butler, of Cleveland, was elected twenty-eighth president of the Association at the 1888 meeting in Louisville. This was a joint meeting with the Southern Dental Association. Doctor Butler had been first vice president of the Association in 1887-1888. He was a doctor of medicine as well as a dentist. He served as president of the Ohio State Dental Society and the Cleveland Dental Society. He was born in Ohio in 1832 and died in 1914.
