Abstract
Doctor Boardman, of Boston, was elected forty-second president of the Association at the 1904 meeting in St. Louis. This was a business meeting only, because the Fourth International Dental Congress was also being held in St. Louis. Following Doctor Boardman's graduation from the Harvard University dental department in 1886, he held several positions with that school: instructor in operative dentistry, curator of the dental museum, librarian and member of the administrative board. Doctor Boardman was president of the Massachusetts Dental Society in 1896. He was born in Maine in 1851 and died m 1922.
