Abstract

Doctor Abbott, of New York City, was elected twenty-seventh president of the Association at the 1887 meeting at Niagara Falls. Delegates voted to invite the Southern Dental Association to a joint meeting in 1888. Dr. Abbott served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He practiced dentistry in Johnstown, New York, and in New York City. He was dean of the New York College of Dentistry, of which he was one of the founders. He was born in Maine in 1836 and died in 1897.
