The archival Advances in Socio-Dental Research collection contains abstracts of then-current articles containing information somehow relating one of the social sciences with dentistry.
Reports originally written in many languages have been compiled into annual index issues of Oral Research Abstracts. The original articles were selected from hundreds of serials published throughout the world and published with editorial revision and expansion. In addition to items which appeared in the sociology, psychology and public health sections, appropriate abstracts were selected from nearly all other sections of Oral Research Abstracts.
This compilation is intended to be useful to epidemiologists, public health workers and all those who have an interest in the behavioral and other social sciences (e.g. sociology, social psychology, psychology, cultural anthropology, economics, and political science) as these relate to oral health. Users of Advances should recognize that the abstracts were written to provide information only. No judgments are made in this volume, or in Oral Research Abstracts, about the value or the validity of any of the reported findings.
