Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between property maintenance and insurance premium costs. It emphasizes that standard policies do not cover normal wear and tear and provides a checklist of preventative measures for home and auto to help members avoid claims. The author also recommends additional coverages, such as personal umbrella and cyber insurance, to address modern liability and security threats. The piece concludes by encouraging members to use MDA Insurance for coverage reviews and to take advantage of available discounts.
