Advances in Caries Research contains abstracts of articles related to all aspects of caries (also known as cavities or tooth decay) research published in hundreds of journals throughout the world each year, arranged as a convenient ready reference.

The first volume of Advances in Caries Research is a collection of abstracts from volumes 4-6 (1969-1971) of Oral Research Abstracts. Emphasis in this collection of abstracts is on caries etiology and prevention, although many other facets of investigation are recorded.

The entire list of journals abstracted appears near the end, followed by author and subject indexes.
