The archival Advances in Caries Research collection contains abstracts of then-current articles related to all phases of caries research published in hundreds of journals throughout the world in a given year.
"Articles which originally appeared in many languages have been abstracted to provide the reader with significant new information. The original contributions appeared in journals devoted to clinical dentistry, dental research, medicine, and basic sciences. The scope of the abstracts published is deliberately broad so that many developments which might be overlooked by the practicing clinician have been included...The entire list of journals abstracted may be found in the index of the concurrent volume of [Oral Research Abstracts].
Users of Advances in Caries Research should recognize that the abstracts were written to provide information only. No judgments are made in this volume, or in Oral Research Abstracts about the value or the validity of any of the reported findings."
