Abstract
As a third-year dental student at VCU, Jack Madigan experiences rotations in seven dental specialties: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Radiology, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. These rotations provide hands-on practice and theoretical knowledge, helping students become proficient in various procedures and treatment planning. Each specialty offers unique learning opportunities, from extracting teeth and diagnosing radiographic images to fabricating dentures and performing root canal therapy. These experiences prepare students for comprehensive patient care and future specialization.
