Abstract
The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) is addressing the dental workforce shortage in Virginia by forming the Virginia Dental Workforce Council. Chaired by Dr. Cynthia Southern, the council aims to develop recommendations to ensure all communities have the necessary dental workforce. Objectives include understanding regional needs, identifying causes and solutions, and creating sustainable pathways for dental professionals. The council's first meeting will be held in the spring, and updates will be provided in future VDA communications. Members are encouraged to share their experiences and insights.
