Abstract
In 2022, the dental profession faced ongoing challenges from COVID-19, including workforce shortages. The ADA is working to address staffing issues and improve member engagement through initiatives like the SmileCon meeting and a new mobile app. Efforts are also underway to introduce legislation for a Medical Loss Ratio in dental plans across multiple states. Membership remains a priority, with a focus on engaging young dentists and those working for Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). The ADA aims to make all dentists feel welcome and involved.
