Abstract
Although there are multiple studies about direct injury to Inferior Alveolar Nerve (IAN) during dental procedures, however, data regarding compression phenomenon on the nerve is limited. The case report aims to review the topic of iatrogenic compression phenomenon of IAN following surgical placement of dental implant and to report a clinical case of compressed IAN with temporary loss of sensation following placement of dental implant in posterior mandible.
