Abstract
Saliva is being researched as a potential significant player in disease diagnostics. The financial implications could likely become much more noteworthy, as dentists and physicians recognize. The many benefits of salivary testing over the more traditional methods of blood and urine sampling, while there remains much research to be performed to fully elucidate both the benefits and limitations of salivary diagnostics, this field promises to shine a brighter light on making healthcare testing more affordable, practical, and pleasant overall.
