Abstract
This article emphasizes the importance of oral cancer screening for the healthcare providers responsible for screening patients. Through an oral-systemic and airway-focused lens, Susan Cotton, BSDH, RDH, OMT, encourages clinicians to recognize signs of burnout, chronic stress and underlying health concerns within themselves and their teams. The article reinforces the idea that healthier providers are better equipped to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
