Abstract
This article explores the evolving landscape of dental hygiene education and workforce needs in Colorado. Amid a critical shortage of dental hygienists following COVID-19, Colorado faces increasing demand, leading to expanded educational opportunities, streamlined licensure, and the need for mentorship to ensure new graduates’ transition and retention in dental practices. The author emphasizes that supportive work environments and leadership are essential for attracting and sustaining hygienists.
